NACHI to begin publicizing member offered ancillary services

NACHI is going to begin listing what additional services each of our members offer. Can you think of any you would add to this list?:

mold
radon
water quality
septic
wood destroying organisms

This will permit us to build sites that are sorted by service offered so that we can have a site of NACHI members that offer mold inspections, for instance.

Every member will be able to check off what services they provide in their profile editor http://www.nachi.org/profileintro.htm and then we can market each service.

EMF?

I spoke with Chris Morrell today and he says the programming can be done very quickly. He doesn’t want to do it twice so requests that we solidify all potential additional services a home inspector is likely to offer.

Each members http://www.nachi.org/profileintro.htm will then permit each member to check off what services he/she offers.

We will then build new consumer and REALTOR search functions that search by service offered so that a consumer can quickly get a list of those NACHI members that provide the particular service being sought.

If we get the list to him soon I'll bet he can knock it out in less than a week.

NACHI will eventually create sites that list EIFS inspectors solely… NACHI members only of course. And include consumer information about EIFS… for example.

“Vacation inspections” - some poeple call them cottage inspections - there may be a better terminology to use for this - it refers to checking people’s homes, or second homes, when they are not there, taking photos, looking for problems or vandalism… This item is popular in the mountains when people want you to keep an eye on their cabin during the eleven months they are not around.

We are setting up the website now. It looks like we are going to convert www.InspectorLocator.com (which currently points to www.InspectorSEEK.com) into a specific-inspection consumer search site. We will also have several hundred other websites use the search tool or point directly to it.

This is the list we've come up with. Should it be reworded at all? For instance... is it WDI or WDO?
