Ok?This is what has transpired to this day.
I had attended the Massachusetts HI board meeting several months ago (July 2005). I went in front of the board members (approx. 8-9 individuals were at this meeting) and simply requested that all NACHI education credits be accepted by the Massachusetts HI board. They, in turn, told me that NACHI (as an organization) can not and will not be approved as a whole. They requested that each and every NACHI educator must either attend the board meeting (as Joe T. did this week) or simply send in the BIOS of every NACHI educator, for the Mass. HI board to approve individually. That?s why Joe T. (as an individual) got approved by the HI board, this week (congrats to Joe). He?s the only individual to step up to the plate. He took time out and went in front of the HI board, described to them what his educational classes will entail, and in turn, the board liked what they heard and approved him immediately.
Well, after my July 2005 meeting with the HI board, I knew that it would be totally impossible for every educator of NACHI to fly into Boston, in order to attend the HI board meeting for individual educator approvals. So I figured it would be much easier and inexpensive if all educator BIOS could be mailed in. At this time, I emailed Nick asking if he would assist me in sending in the BIOS of every educator that would be teaching classes at the upcoming Orlando 2005 convention. He told me that the NACHI attorney?s are working on it and will get the Mass. HI board to approve all NACHI credits real soon. I haven?t received a reply from Nick since then.
I ended up in the hospital in mid August 2005 and was unable to pursue this CE approval until further notice.
After being discharged from the hospital (end of August 2005), I received a call from my buddy Gerry Beaumont. He stated that he would personally attend the HI board meeting in Sept. 2005. He had told me (not in the exact words) that he had something up his sleeve that would probably make the HI board bite at his proposal for NACHI CE credit approval. I was excited to hear positive feedback from Gerry. I was in a full leg cast at that time but stated to Gerry I that I would attend the board meeting with him (if needed), crutches and all.
After the Sept. 2005 HI board meeting, I emailed Gerry and asked how everything went in Boston. He did not reply to my email. I sent an additional email to his other email address with (still) no reply. I then decided that I had no assistance or back-up from any of the NACHI representatives at this point (in getting this CE issue resolved), so I decided to let it go, as I was unable to get anywhere SOLO.
The only way the State board of Massachusetts HI?s will approve NACHI CE credits is by sending in the BIOS of every NACHI educator, as I stated. But when I have no pull at NACHI or any assistance by the NACHI reps. in getting this ordeal accomplished, we have all failed and will never see Massachusetts accepting NACHI CE credits.
