Hi to all,

I would like to recommend this on-line training resource to our members it is offered free of charge throught the “engineered wood association” here’s a link to them.

http://www.apawood.org/

The course itself is accepted by 2 national design/architect orgs and takes around 5 hours to complete with a test in the last element, Members who pass can print out a certificate similar to the Certainteed ones.

Please take a look at this and let me know what you think. (BTW if you log in please put NACHI as the supporting org on their register page.

http://wooduniversity.org/index.cfm

Thanks to member Erby Crofutt for passing this along to us.

BTW we will accept this for 5 hours education.

Regards

Gerry

Gerry and Erby,

That is a great link that has some great links. I have now sent that link to a few of my acquaintances that are builders and designers. Thanks

Other than http://wooduniversity.org/index.cfm and http://www.certainteed.com/bldgsolutions/bspd00001.html and of course NACHI, are there any other similar (free ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) ) online courses that we know of ?

Hi Paul,

sorry I am afraid that I don't know of any others, no doubt other product manufacturers or industry associations do have something similar on their web sites that I just have not had the time to go tracking them down.

Gerry

Thanks Gerry–

My offer to serve on the ed committee still stands-- again, not to contribute content, but to work on delivery models, etc.

Cheers,
