I cannot find in the code book, what the distance is for a stair thread. A wooden deck on back patio steps down 3 inches. Is the compliance distance 7 inches? Can anyone help?

Minimum tread depth is 10" per IRC (exc winders)

Minimum riser height is 4" and max of 7-3/4" per IRC

also, it should fall into those numbers but mixing the tread sizes in a single set of stairs will realy throw off your “stride” and present a trip hazard. i call out steps if they are not “comfortable” to use.
