sure does look alot older than -20yrs. if i had to guess, i’d say by the text, and print quality of the label, color of the copper lugs and the “30” ingraved into the breakers, it’s about 40-50 yrs old. but why would it be in a house built in '86? was the garage built long ago with a house that has since been demo’d and a new one built? or how about the garage, i know of a company that will move an old barn and reconstruct it piece by piece at your new home, for that “nastalga” any one els have a clue? icon_cool.gif

Looks like a standard Stab-lok. Where was it marked to be a “Nuark?”

I believe you may mean “Noark”. It was an old electrical company which made switching systems and fuse disconnects. It was owned, I believe by Colt fire arms or Smith and Wesson. It got sold off to FPE in the 60’s or 70’s, “Federal Noark”. That particular panel is much older than 1986. Like Federal Pacific Electric they have gone bye bye icon_idea.gif

Maybe its a Northeast thing more than others. I’ve seen at least 30 - 40 (guess) in the course of my inspection career.

Nice shot Adam,

that meter on the left is very early, probably from the 20's or early 30's, it may be rated as low as 30 amps.
