I am extremely pleased to announce that the KREIA BOD approved the New NACHI exam to satisfy the testing requirement of the KREIA Certified Inspector designation.

The exam will be proctored by a BOD approved proctor and NACHI has agreed to assist KREIA in setting up a specific Kentucky Exam which will be offered onsite at every monthly KREIA membership meeting and at the KREIA conference. The KREIA BOD authorized the purchase of a new laptop to meet their immediate needs. Future plans may include a bank of 4 or 5 computers at the conference for people to take the test.

Further negotiations are underway that I hope will in the long run join NACHI and KREIA (the two largest Home Inspection Associations in the State of KY) in providing advanced education opportunities for all state inspectors at greatly reduced costs.

Stay tuned for some exciting news and updates in the coming year.
