I can’t help you with the age of the furnace or the fuses in the overhead, but the 2 divices you point out i can help. the one on the left is a reset switch. designed to “trip” when the furnace runs without a flame. either out of fuel, overdrafted or what not. it kills the furnace so as not to allow raw fuel into the fire box and potentialy into the room. the other appears to be a temp. limit switch. set to the desired temp and acts like a thermostat for the air box, assuming this is a forced warm air system, it will activate the blower motor when the air is “warm” enough to heat the house. icon_cool.gif

Rybolt in my Preston’s Guide indicates manufactured in 1972, making it at least 33 years old. (Mfg dates from 1965-72)
