If condensation is dripping below the seam in the flue, that tells me it's not venting properly. How were the remaining flue pipes (underside) outside the furnace area?

As for the Tee connection to the primary flue... this definitely needs to be changed to a Wye.

Thank you David. I wrote it up for further eval including replacement of the Tee with a Wye. As far as the underside of the pipes, no rust yet.

Adding a wye in this installation may require additional elbows or 45?s to make the connection, so a tee was used, those additional joints will reduce venting efficiency, this does not appear with the information provided to be improper and does harm the system.


The water may be incomplete combustion or creosote, may be water entering from out side ??
