Goal:
The goal of this course is to teach the student how to perform inspections of the electrical systems at commercial properties.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- identify and define electrical components;
- follow best safety practices;
- record inspection data in documentation;
- determine the scope of work;
- work with experts;
- use inspection tools;
- locate electrical systems;
- inspect exterior lighting;
- inspect fire alarms;
- inspect emergency power systems;
- inspect refrigeration systems; and
- inspect high/low voltage and communications.
