Defect:  Chimney chase on roof (location) has a large gap in siding at roof chase junction towards the eaves.  Siding on chase is in contact with roofing shingles and flashing is not visible at this junction.  Water intrusion will occur at this point leading to further damage below chase and roofing decking.  Recommend repair of chase siding and installation of proper flashing ASAP by licensed, qualified contractor(s) to avoid future costly damage.
