I have used Spectora, Home Inspector Pro, and HomeGauge on my home inspections. And I like them all. My Spectora report template is available as a download from Spectora's Template Community Page, if you're interested, at https://app.spectora.com/templates. And here are some discount codes that you can use when purchasing software packages from Spectora.

  • NACHIMONTHLY - $50 off the first month for a monthly software subscription, and I believe you can test drive the software with your first five inspection reports free. And look for my home inspection report template as a starting point available in the Spectora.com template community.

  • NACHIANNUAL - $100 off the first year for an annual software subscription

Those discount codes will only work for new Spectora accounts.

Here's my recommendation. (1) You should get an inspector website design that's incredibly affordable and fast. And that would be from InterNACHI's Official Vendor for inspector website designs. Visit www.nachi.org/website to get more details and pricing.

And then (2), get that really good software from Spectora. Use a discount code. And their admin features will help you manage your time really well, which is just as important as writing beautiful reports.

So, in summary, get online, schedule jobs, use great report software, and start making money. Keep costs as low as possible. And then, if you want to upgrade or spend a lot of money on a fancier website or more software features, go ahead. But first, I'd do the basics and start making money. The old saying is true, "You have to spend money to make money."

Also... I'm teaching a free, online class at www.nachi.org/webinar. If you can't make it, no problem. Register for class, and you'll receive the video recording to watch later.
