Talking 1/8" Asbestos Board

Today I visited a 1950's design ranch house that had 1/8" asbestos board on the built in garage house side wall. Also the entire furnace room in the garage area was lined with the same board.

What are the recommendations for the treatment of this material?

whatever You do Gary don't lick it....well seriously, if it is in good shape i recommend leaving it alone and paint as necessary to keep it non friable...not a problem really unless you decide to mess with it....jmo....jim
