Atlanta Chapter 2 day Education event 10th-11th November 2006







The Atlanta Chapter of The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors www.nachiatlanta.org is pleased to announce a 2 day educational event sponsored by www.nachi.org and Porter Valley Software www.PVSoftware.com This special 2 day event is limited to only 50 inspectors, so sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Who:
Gerry Beaumont NACHI national training consultant will be teaching 2 full days of classes offering inspectors 16 hours of continuing education credits with classes aimed at improving inspectors skills and allowing them to expand their businesses. Gerry is one of the industries leading educators having taught hundreds of classroom hours and delivered 15,000 credit hours of online education.


What:

Manufactured Housing inspection. (Friday 10th, 8am-12pm) A 4 hour course explaining the particular problems associated with inspecting manufactured homes.

The material covered includes the history of manufactured housing, HUD regulations, Foundations and supports for MH, Tie-down requirements in high wind locations & other areas of concern.




Basic electrical inspection.
Friday 10th, (1pm-5pm) A 4 hour credit course covering, Inspector safety issues, service drop, service entrance, disconnecting means, Service panels, Distribution panels, problems of Zinsco & FPE panels, Visual inspection of panel enclosures & common wiring problems.

This class has been taught at multiple chapter events and full houses at NACHI’s national convention.

Introduction to Commercial Inspection.
Saturday 11th, (8am-4 pm) A full day class sponsored by Porter Valley Software, taught by Gerry and PV’s Lorne Steiner.

This course is designed to explain to attendees the differences between Commercial property inspection and Home inspection, It explains the business opportunities, how to quote to win commercial, present a scope of work, Executive summaries, Property condition assessments, and the applicable ASTM standards of inspection.
