Here's an idea - Don't suggest the increase. Just do it!

Just got off the phone with a buddy in Anchorage. He just paid $3.82 this morning on the way to work. Talked to my sister today in Santa Barbara, CA. $4.11 was the lowest within a reasonable distance of her house. A low of $4.05 and a high by the freeway of $4.49, all for regular.

It cost me $23.00 to mow my lawns and pasture this weekend. That's getting ridiculous.

Too much cultivated lawn!! Let it go wild or plant some species that don't need all that care.

Sure I can do that, but we as an industry need to get together on this, if we ever hope to paid professional fees. Let's say I raise my price by $10 on draw inspections, you know what will happen, they will call a newbie inspector who will do it for $20 less than before.

It's all a gamble. If you tell them why your worth the extra $10,you just might get it and not get dropped as an inspector.

No cultivated lawn at all. Natural grasses and weeds. But they look great when mowed. I don't water. 5 acres. This time of year the horses can't keep up. We just had 4 days above 84 and 2 above 90 (hot for up here), followed last night by half of inch of rain. I can see the stuff growing now.
