Default Can a stove be next to a sink?

I was just wondering in an electric stove can be located next to a sink in the kitchen. Thanks.

For convenience reasons you may not want that configuaration, for safety reason no problem.

The only appliances that are sometimes not recommended next to one another are things like a stove/dishwasher. Excessive heat from the stove may shorten the life of that dishwasher or other major appliance (according to my appliance guy)

Sinks next to stoves are especially handy for those who tend to catch their potholders on fire or other stuff.

Just remember not to use water an a grease fire.
