A dear friend and fellow inspector passed

Patrick Kelly, a fellow NACHI Chicago Member and founding Secretary / Treasurer of the chapter passed away on Monday.
Below are the details. Pat was always a happy, but dedicated, guy and served his fellow NACHI members well. He will be greatly missed.
Patrick Xavier Kelley, age 58, of St. Charles was received into the arms of Christ on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Delnor Hospital of Geneva. His emotional heart became too big for his physical heart to handle, so he became an angel to watch over his family.
Patrick was born February 13, 1957, in Elmhurst, IL. to Francis Xavier and Sue Whelan Kelley.
Patrick attended St. Domitilla Elementary School in Hillside, Wawasee Prep in Syracuse, Indiana, and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst. He attended St. Leo College in Florida and took classes at Triton College in River Grove.
Patrick worked for the Kelley family business, Allied Drywall Services (20 years), Co-facilitator of Kelley Kids Home Childcare, and also provided Home Remodeling and Repair (12 years), and most recently was the Owner-operator of P.X. Inspects Home Inspection Services (10 years).
Patrick is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Catherine; three cherished adult children, Lisa (DJ) Hird of Rolling Meadows, Cindy (Fianc Adam Snider) of St. Charles, and Greg of St. Charles; three brothers, Vince (Jackie), Mike (Kate), and Dan (Mary); four sisters, Sheila (John) Smock, Ann (Eric) Hanada, Susie (Marty) Bergerson, and Mary Francis “Muffie” (Lou) LeMieux; his father-in-law, Bert Wisbrock; two brothers-in-law, Raymond (Jeanne) Wisbrock and Mark (Mary) Wisbrock; and a sister-in-law, Lynne (John) Schneegas. Beloved uncle to many. Treasured friend to all.
Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Wisbrock; an infant sister, Maureen Kelley; and a sister-in-law, Janice Borndahl.
Visitation will be Monday, May 18, from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street (Rt. 38), Geneva. Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Yurs Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Parish, 400 Cedar St., St. Charles. Part was also the founding Sec / Treas of the NACHI Chicago Chapter, the first fully chartered and incorporated NACHI Chapter. I had the honor of serving with him on the board and Pat was always there, plugging away and getting stuff done.

I was shocked and saddened by his passing. I didn’t even know he was sick.

Good inspector and good friend. May he rest in peace and his memory be a blessing.

Nuff said.

Thoughts and prayers going out to Patrick Kelly, and his family.
