It is not water proof but a great deal for the money. Just show this to Walmart and they will match it.

Battery will last long time and camera wil love you long time.

These work great for what I do and use them for.
I used to be a Sony guy; then I got into the inspection business. I went through two high dollar Sony point and shoots in my first year in the business. The first one didn't make it through a 5' drop onto a garage floor surface. The second couldn't handle the dust exposure on a day to day regiment of traversing attics and crawlspaces. Don't get me wrong, there were several things I liked about the cameras, but the disadvantages far outweighed. They are not durable and the battery life is poor at best. I would use 2-3 batteries per inspection (150-300 photos).

About three months ago I began researching cameras. I'm a bit of a gadget geek so I put in the time finding the best fit for me. I see many other inspectors here also found the Olympus Stylus Tough to be a good fit. I use the Stylus Tough 6020 as the added features of the 8010 did not amount to much for the extra $100. I picked up two 6020's for $160 each on ebay, new in the box w/free shipping. I now use one battery per inspect, drop them all the time, left one on the tailgate during a terrential downpour, never had an issue . I feel that the most important tool in my inspection toolkit is my camera and will never skimp in that dept again.

I have been using canon for years and just ordered an 8010.
