Steve,

I hear ya buddy. I always want my ladder tucked away. I'd hate to be driving around with a 40 ft. ladder atop my truck.

My vehicle is a 6 yr old light duty pickup (Ford Ranger) with ladder rack and lockable tool box. The overwhelming feedback I have recieved from customers / agents is that people are not impressed by very flashy high-end vehicles (think they are being overcharged), and are equally unimpressed by clunkers (think the person is struggling). Perception is reality, much like how we choose to dress (tie vs cut off shorts).

So I shouldn't be driving my HUMMER to inspections?

I sold all my vehicles, bought an Electra Cruiser bicycle, bicycle to the office and back every day. Almost everything I need in this world is within a short bicycle ride away. I weigh 220 now, down from 254.

2 years ago Chris Morrell did the very same thing in Philly.

Neither of us own a motor vehicle.

With the money I save, I can take a limo to the airport if I need to.

Nick, you don't need a vehicle when your wife has one of these.

A little more than a year ago I intentionally moved 3 blocks (closest home I could find) from NACHI.TV Studios so that I could hit it hard, day and night. Getting www.NACHI.TV off the ground took full-time focus. It now runs smoothly without me thanks to Valerie and Paige.

come on guys, i drive my hummer to inspections,
its part of my advertising, everyone looks at a hummer
granted i have the H3 its just the big brother to a jeep cherokee.
the decal beside the picture is what is one my truck doors,
along with an InterNACHI gold decal on the back window,
an iac2 certified decal.
works great at an tim Hortons for advertising.

I bought the truck from NACHI TV like episode 5 or something like that. Expensive, but man what a vehicle...has everything I need. Added a one shot kuerig coffee maker on the side...three computers inside...only thing I will do next is go a bit bigger...6cyl, mercedes diesel at 26 mpg...I love the truck!
