Mr Hagarty,

While others within the org may be unaware of ESOPs charter and function, you of all people are hiding the fact that you know the facts. Either that, or admit that during your "presidency" at NACHI, you were asleep at the wheel.

A comittee can operate without a formal written charter, and you damned well know it. We serve at the convenience of the BOD. Are you stating for the record and for all to see, that you claim to be unaware of the facts as they have existed for years now? Will you deny that ESOP is the oldest functioning committee at NACHI? Will you deny that this committee developed the COE as it exists today? Or that it's charter is what I have stated it is? Will you deny that, as NACHI President, you were not privy to the inner workings of ALL committees at NACHI, including ESOP? Will you deny that, as President of this org, that you turned to ESOP for assistance, clarification, opinion, or ruling more than once?

Joe, you can shuck and jive until the cows come home. With all your posturing and smart-*****ed comments, only you can know what's in your heart. You and some of the original members of ESOP, that is.

You have long despised what you could never pervert or morph into a committee to do your bidding. ESOP can and will never be voted into by the membership. By its very charter, it is an autonomous body, reporting solely to the NACHI BOD. You know this to be fact. You paint the picture on this message board that you are shocked and somehow dismayed. You do this because you want to come off as Captain Howdy.

Your postings within this thread, and veiled attempt at discrediting ESOP, only go to prove what I am saying. You are feckless.

So, before you criticize this committee, take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself how YOU have contributed to this org, or to the benefit of members in your home state. What legacy did YOUR presidency leave the membership?

If a complaint against a NACHI member has any merit, or gets brought before the full committee, the member is notified that something is going on. I have personally called or e-mailed over 200 NACHI members in the past 3 years relative to complaints brought against them. Nothing is done in secret.

As to this obsession you have, all I can say is that, simply put, you have turned into a Monday Morning Quarterback, who aparently dines on a steady diet of sour grapes.

By the way... Thanks for the random Capitalizations, Joe. At least I know it's you who are typng, and not someone else, this time.

Joe,

I agree with everything that you said.

The BOD operates & controls NACHI.

Committees serve the BOD.

The Organization has Bylaws. There was never an Charter delineating the operations and functioning of the Committees.

There were references made that someone read the Charter that your committee follows. Not possible since it was not written. If it is in a written format, post it for all to read.

Objection?

Again, Joe, you have manipulated the wording to my response to fit your agenda. I never said that I "read the Charter". I told you that I read an excerpt that was one..maybe two...sentences that described the ESOP Committee but did not provide any rules or guidelines.

James,

Nothing manipulated at all.

I asked if you had read the Charter and you responded in the affirmative but that it was only an excerpt.....

See below to refresh your memory...

As to your second question, I will (for a third time) refer you to the committee chairman who is the only member of our committee who is able to speak for the entire committee. I believe he has already answered your question in his post to John Bowman, but if you require clarification it will have to come from him.

Thank you for your retraction. As I said, and your follow-up confirms, I did not "read the charter" as you earlier stated.
