Just showing that not all Military personnel have lots of dough.
Responding to someone stating that many of them have tons of cash.

Not involved in the squabble as you are both wrong.

His question was out of line and your response was to sensitive.

Bob,

The attachment that you posted is of some misfortunate Veterans that chose not too or did not have the capacity to enjoy life as one should after such dramatic times. I think that some people do not understand that. Just my thoughts.

We were just extending the offer for those that served or are serving our country today. Kinda funny how this board gets off track with politics sometimes and those of us that want to contribute get caught up in some Stupid responses to generosity.

True
Congrats on your offer,as I hope it helps out a few Vets.
Let us know if any take up your offer.

Just somber as I found out someone once close died tonight by seeing the obituary on a Google search when I was curious to see how she was..

Forgive the intrusion.

That's one of the nice parts about owning your own business: You can establish your own policies and programs and run the business as you see fit without having to justify it to others.

You don't need to explain or justify what you are doing to anyone.

That's one thing about the message board or email in general people can read something in 15 different ways. I personally think Joe was just trying to offer his advice and get Paul to offer the discount year round. Joe's point was if it's truly coming from your heart then offer it all the time don't do it as a one time marketing ploy which I agree. I offer discounts to Military, Police, Fire, any first responders and have gained lots of business from it. That's why I keep my discounts going year around. I also offer 50% off inspections for any first time realtor I do business with. The second inspection is normal price and they understand this and again I've gained more than a few contacts by doing this. All in all my first year in St. Louis has not been bad and I'm on track to become a Dale Duffy or a Jeff Pope doing 1 to 2 a day 5 or 6 days a week if I keep growing like I have in my first year.

How long does it take you to get the taste out of your mouth from kissing a realtors chocolate starfish? We have a name for that kind of inspector where I come from.

lol Call it what you want Scott . It's only a one good time deal to get in front of a realtor and show them what I have to offer. So far all who took me up on the offer have used me multiple times at full price. I'm also starting pages on my site which will list everyone who I've done business with (all trades) whom understands that I don't write soft reports and in my opinion works 100% in the best interest of their client. This is going over really well and the realtors who I'm building a business relationship with feel like they are getting something back in return.

Paul, You have a great idea and we all know our purpose here on earth, well some of us. When someone puts there life on the line the least we can do is show that they're appreciated. Going the extra mile to say thanks makes you one of the few that recognize what a great country this is.

God Bless!

I think this is a good idea. I offer discounts when they are veterans and their immediate families.

My son in law just received a promotion to Major in the Air Force and we went up to Tinker AFB to participate. I had goose bumps when he was pinned. I can't count how many sorties he has flown in Iraq and other places unknown. Proud to be an American.

Proud father in law of Major Ben (Dustbag) Dustman. Funny how they get their callsigns!
