Vaughn,

Where do you want to drag pics to? They all get added and resized in one quick batch add?

Why can't you add a panoramic photo? Or are you wanting the program to stitch photos together and make one for you?

Got it Email me about the switching templates mid report. I'm curious to know how that's possible and what exactly moves when you switch templates (just pictures or actual content).

This would be an opportunity for all the home inspectors to provide their input into the design and development. In the end, the only thing we have to lose is out time and effort.

This would obviously be an ongoing process and the next step would be looking to work with a small number of inspectors to help gather some initial requirements and garner some feedback throughout the process. In return, some possibilities could include free software/hosting/scheduling etc.

Just curious, why all the controversy as to which software is best?

I am just trying to get a feel and throw out some ideas. All of you are the experts and I do not want to attempt to try and do something that will never succeed. Additional features could be an online scheduling service that could be incorporated into individuals existing web sites. From a mobile perspective we could build in Blackberry and iPhone integration in addition to Palm/Pocket PC.

Many of the so called experts here, will not be in business in three years.

The small gadget/handheld crowd in the HI business is a very very small niche, mostly appealing to the Software Developers and not the users.

Something about HI's being over 40 and those tiny screens, and the toy like performance of hand helds to date.

good luck. I will look for you in three years..

I am one of those very small niche inspection companies. I will ONLY use handheld devices. For those of us who want to build a COMPANY and not a personal name single home inspection shop, we need the ability to integrate several aspects of the inspection into one report. This way we can have more than 1 inspector on the inspection and integrate the information together to complete one report. I know there are not too many multi inspection firms out there. But I think me and my guys have it down pat! We all have our assigned areas and go to them and finish at different times so the information can be inputted without people standing around. Know the other good aspect? The other guys do not know the entire process...meaning they cannot go on their own and start their own company and take all your secrets. Live and learn...

Ya I used to use an IPAQ, just slowed everything down.
Live and learn indeed.

As much as I enjoyed managing employees in the past, I do not miss it.

With Active words on, it will actually correct your spelling as you type.
I do not leave it on during forum time as I have it coded to spew out whole paragraphs on entry of many key words.

It pops open in a couple seconds if needed.

I also use Spartan clipboard that holds I think about 10,000 files that you can scroll and paste.has search function if needed though thumbs pop open as you glide past with your mouse.

Combining Spartan and Active words one can create multiple copies of spartan and cue them to open when needed.I have separate copies for each home system.
