What is an HRV?

A defrost feature is part of an HRV, but what is an HRV?
Thanks,
Rusty

Heat recovery ventilator
Larry

**It is a heat recovery ventilator. They have become very popular and in some areas necessary with the super energy effecient homes. Here is a link with some information on how they work.

Do you have a defrost cycle???

Everyone says I’m a hot head so i guess so!

Those systems seem to improve energy efficiency, but I would hazard to guess that there is an inherent danger in passing exhaust air so close to the the intake. Has anyone ever seen a failure? What to look for, etc.? I’ve seen a couple of these but never opened them up.

Steve,
Thats a Canadian site,… it cant be reliable??

JUST KIDDING MARIO!!!    :stuck_out_tongue:
I love Canadian stuff,… Molson especially,… notice the molson bottle in the second pic!

My eyesight must be failing. Where is the bottle?

Its a trick picture, lol she must be laying on it.

Are those guys on their way to the convention?

Peter

The picture on the right is…well nice. The picture on the left reminds me of a friend that has a cottage north of Toronto. He tells me that he probably has 1/2 dozen snowmobiles at the bottom of the lake his cottage is on. Way to much Molson is my guess.

Peter I hope that you didn’t change your mind about attending the convention. I have the first dozen beers!!
