HUD Modular Homes

I am new HUD compliance inspector. Can someone tell me the requirements on inspecting a Modular Home? A banker called me today and needs me to perform one.

Ask the lender for the specific inspection protocol they are requesting. Most modular home inspections require a structural engineers evaluation and stamp of the raised foundation system. If it's a simple HUD-92051 compliance inspection you can perform it if you're an approved HUD/FHA Roster or Fee Inspector.

You can always call the regional HUD office in your area. Ask for the appraisal department, they cover the inspection requirements as well. The office in my area has always been very helpfull...
