Manufactured Housing Course at Southwestern Illinois College November 18, 2006

This course is designed to introduce new and intermediate Home Inspectors to the special challenges of inspecting manufactured Housing. The class is not intended to be a "code" study, but rather a practical guide to the inspection of Steel Chassied
structures. The course will also introduce the differences between, Mobile, Manufactured, Modular, Panelized and Pre-Cut design systems, but only so far as to help the student understand the differences.

The course is not designed for those engaged in the field of either installation or code enforcement as pertains to Manufactured Housing.

All students successfully completing the course by passing the final exam with a score of not less than 75% ( minimum 38 from 50 correct) will be mailed a Certificate of Completion

If this is a new chapter (Illinois State Chapter), why are the checks made payable to NACHI Chicago?

My guess is they don't have the infrastructure in place to handle the registration and financials.

Jeff, your guess would be correct, I think it is very nice of the Chicago chapter to offer other chapters a hand like this. Kudos to them.

Shame some other chapters are not as forthcoming.

Mr. Myers asked for our Chapter, which has its own web site and PayPal account and incorporation and some really good guys (Jeff W. is our former Sec./Treas.) who pitch in and actually do stuff (great stuff) to help out the new State Chapter until they get their organization in place.

You should know that there are some (great!) opportunities that come along with NACHI that are so good (like Gerry's course) that you sometimes don;t have time to get all the T's crossed.

NACHI helps NACHI out.
