Maybe Mr. Lott also wants to be in the news as he persists on seeking attention here.

On the other hand, Mr. Lott may be competely sane. Perhaps he is just "needy" and desires attention no matter how it is delivered to him or derived from someone.

Then again, Mr. Lott may simply have asked a good question in the wrong way, and all that needed to happen was to for someone with answers to his question to share that knowledge through a private message.

Unfortunately, Mr. Lott seems to always end up in a bind on this board much like the guy who says, "What does this button do?" and sinks a ship. I, for one, do not think Mr. Lott has any foul intentions, but he is certainly a unique personality who displays a sensitive nature when attacked - as we all do when we don't understand why we are attacked and ridiculed.

I don't hold fault against him for feeling the way he does (defensive) as "thick skin" is developed through callous-causing labour. If he chooses to labour on this message board until we all "thicken his skin", then that is his choice. But, it is also your choice to determine the most responsible words to post that don't reminise of 8th grade, or worse, simple verbal abuse.

Chivalry and Honor are not exclusive to anyone. You don't have to like Mr. Lott (or me for that matter), but be responsible men and women here. If you are going to "correct" Mr. Lott, please don't make yourselves look less-than-professional when doing so because you, in turn, are announcing that you are no better (if not worse) than he.

He only asked a question that, as a paying member who entrusts his reputation with this organization and its leaders, had the right to ask. Granted, he probably should have asked before getting here, but hey, we all make mistakes.

P.S.

I am well-aware that I am the pot calling the kettle black, but promoting a positive change is a good thing. It's been shoved down MY throat by members. Perhaps we should ALL heed our our advice.

Yeah, well you could always hang out on the other HI boards where never was heard a discouraging word, kinda like watching paint dry.

And it just gets gooder and gooder.

Ken, John is trying to reach out. He's not trying to be your enemy or attack you. I got you in my prayers, brother.

John...remember the PM I sent you during the Active Rain crap? It's easy to think that Ken is being influenced, but I don't think that's the case.

Everybody else....let's have some compassion.

Ken...I was serious about helping out with your web page.

Who is "pathetic" in your eyes? Who has not "faced actual adversity" on this board. Just a question. Provide "just an answer" for the rest of us. That's an awefully bold comment for you to make to "humanity". I'm VERY interested as to what you think is considered "adversity".

And remember, this conversation is starting out with YOU making a comment on an open board and ME, another member, asking you to clarify. This doesn't have to end up as blood-bath. I'm just not sure I like the fact that you insulted everyone here ("humanity" being plural). As everyone knows - I DON'T LIKE BULLIES.

Of course, we could be great friends at our local pub. For now, I'll just assume that you clearly insulted my peers. You're a NACHI member who hasn't been insulted or attacked by anyone in this thread, right? How 'bout shooting in the SAME direction? It'll keep people like me busier doing other things that are far more productive.

Ok I can't resist.
Mr Lott I do not know you and I am new here on the board however one thing has stuck out like a pimple.
If you actually wondered about Mr Gromicko there is one answer for why you would not ask him in a personal E-MAIL,which by the way I have found him to be very accessible.
You are afraid of him and this would come from guilt.
So please be honest and admit your purpose here is to disrupt what is becoming the organization of the future for Home Inspection.
No other place offers as much to it's members so please come clean and admit it,or do you really see UFO's.
I will be happy to submit a list of professionals in your area that can help you based on a limited income.
I do not not to come home to this forum to see attacks on what is my house, where we should all feel safe.

Maybe it's time we all took a breather and gave Mr. Lott a break. He can use the time to re-evaluate his input thus far and make a few adjustments that all of us, including himself, can appreciate.

The poor lug got bombarded with some email from anti-NACHI folks like Scott Patterson and others who thought they found weak link and tried to exploit him, as they usually do.

I think that he may have learned his lesson, by now.
