In my past life, I was Vice-President of operations for AMF-Scientific Drilling Inc., a billion dollar independent stand alone corporation operating around the world. I can't tell you how many bills, statements and or invoices I refused to sign off on during my tenure with AMF. They included all types of vendors and suppliers, including legal firms. When the outstanding issues were corrected to AMF's satisfaction, payments were made in a timely manner. And I might add, not a moment sooner.

There are two sides to every story. I'm thinking the "Story" link above does as well....

I am curious to hear the other side. Been strangely quiet here about this matter. I too ran a multimillion dollar operation in high tech. One thing I never did was piss off my accountants or lawyers especially during a high profile negotiation.

We are all aware of the high cost of legal representation so you never want them to turn on you like a rabbid dog Of course if you take a certain delight in doing those kind of things - have fun,

Even in a billion dollar company Will you can't get away with refusing to pay your Attorneys just because you lost the legal battle.

Nick isn't claiming that these attorney's did something wrong, he's claiming that they never represented him, but the legal action they billed for involved Nachi, not Nick. He's innocent, it's you Nachi/InterNachi members who are the non-bill paying bums it seems. Kind of reminds you of Ken Lays defense doesn't it, "It was Enron, Not Me"
