I have a few more pics on the Main Steet Station to show the progess of the Project;

On the exterior site work, the granite curb installers from New Hampshire are hard at work.
What you see in the photo is about 300 ft. and the curbing was installed in about 3 hours. Incredible, they sure know how to do it.

Here, the brick pavers are still underway, for a total of $250,000 it is like painting the city in red. ha. ha. Actually, the City is paying for the paver bricks on the whole new street and building complex.

At the interior of the building, most of the retail space is equiped with their own heat and A/C units above the future ceiling space.
This is one of them. Gas fired Trane Units.
The condensers are located on the roof.

Here you can see the unit and part of the distribution ductwork and also piping for the exhaust and freshair intake. If you look closely, you can see the PVC fitting for the exhaust and just below it is the freshair intake. Two pipes will be installed, but only one to exit the building. See later in a next pic.

And there it is, just one pipe. This is a kit for these units with one pipe inside the other and comes with a wye that separates the exhaust from the intake. Interesting.

And here are the roof top units for those individual rental spaces.

The compressors.

The burner section.

The filter and coil section.

On the exterior;

Well, I think there is a problem here. Remember, this is Public retail space on a Public roadway eventually.

Can you guess what the problem is in the design of this entrance walkway and approach?

Open for comments.

Enjoy.

Right on Peter.

I gave them a solution, but they will come up with and other abortionized solution. Should see the first sketch the Landscape Architect came up with.

Well, this week I was off to replace a roof on a college Campus that I did an EIFS job on a year and one half ago.
Besides the Carpenter Ants problem and rotted wood to replace, I observed a few other things.

The Capenter Ants are posted here;
http://www.nachi.org/forum/f21/carpe...07/#post542252

These are the condensor lines for the roof top units going up another building.
Notice the broken PVC line and the exposed conductors.

Also, take note to the chilled supply lines insulated with Armaflex that has broken down due to the sunlight exposure and/or because I could not put my hand on them. They were steaming hot. Now is something wrong with that or what. ?

Here are addittional pics of the leaking roof edge and what carpenter ants can do to compound the problem of rotting wood.

Thousands of them.

Plus the eggs

Good morning Peter.

To answer your question, last year we had opened the roof edge to confirm to the College that the roof was leaking at the edges due to how it had been redone and besides the rotted wood that was seen then, I could see evidence of carpenter ant tunnels in the rotted wood.

When I started to open the roof, they disappeared from view before I was able to expose them, but new they were there.
The old gravel stop had remained there when the roof was rebuilt and that created an interstate for the ants all around the building.
Next week we will be opening up the other side and will most likely find them again.
I have a suspecion that they will end up nesting behind the EIFS eventually and cause more destruction down the line.

It don't take them very long to dissappear. They will chase moisture in a different location.
I doubt the college will spray the building exterior to rid of them.
