Update on the three buildings going up.
The final pour for the foundation for the third building was yesterday, they stripped the forms today. They'll waterproof the first half of the building tomorrow then next Monday do the section that was poured yesterday. After that we'll start the process all over again - installing the perimeter drain, get the inspection and start backfilling. One thing we'll do on this building that we didn't have time to do on the first building is install all the underslab plumbing & HVAC prior to framing (makes it so much easier maneuvering the equipment in the basement without the lally columns) We got the final plans for the two finished basements in the second building. Laid out the pipes with the plumber and the excavator started digging today. We should start framing after the Holiday. The first building is moving along nicely. The framer has finished the roof, installed some of the windows, roof shingles are going on (half the building is done), underslab plumbing & HVAC done, inspected & backfilled (should be able to pour the slab first of next week), plumbers have started roughing in the first upper unit, brick veneer & siding going up the beginning of next week. ![]() Prepping the roof for shingles ![]() ![]() ![]() Underslab HVAC Hope everyone has a safe and happy Turkey Day. ENJOY!!!!! alan |

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family Allan.
Question on that spiral duct ventilation or heat duct. What is it made of and is it water tight? Marcel LEED Green Associates InachiAwardsPortal: Inachi US Member of the Year Award 2009 |

Thanks Marcel, the same to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us south of the border.
The duct is PVCD, I believe. It's coated metal duct and it is sealed at all the joints. I hope we never have any water problems, with all the stone we backfilled the floor with, plus the under slab drain, plus the exterior perimeter drain, plus this project is on the top of a hill. alan |
