Dan,
I looked at other organization before I joined NACHI. I am new here but really like what Nick does and what he stands for. He does not like fly-by-night home inspectors. He believes in the profession and is helping it to become a VERY respected profession in the communittee. I have never met him but think he is the best. NOW GO BOTHER SOME ONE ELSE!!!!!!!! |

I guess I must have ticked off Dan with my post. I think he must have sent this with a red box "you should do some research before popping off . there is much you have not seen yet, like, unfulfilled benefits"
I think I popped off on the right side of this one Dan! So far I am very well satisfied with what I see in NACHI and Nick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do not like us go trash some other web site. We do not need you! |

My mistake on the red box. I still stand behind what I said about NACHI and Nick. They both rock in my book!!!!

Wow it just dawned on me that Dan is great advertising. Let me explain, I was surfing through this thread and stopped at the NACHI benefits and read them again. Seems like more positive perks everytime I look at them. So if I stop and look as a member, and this is on a public forum just imagine how many other people are wowed everytime they stop to look at it like I did. It is true everytime Dan starts in someone puts up the benefits package and like magic its advertising again and again.
Thanks Dan! |

Now there is only one thing left... When you read ALL those perks "THINK" How of them are worth anything at ALL, and to YOU ? How does listing the same perk/ item several times on the same list help YOU ? How many of those items are FREE to any inspector, member of a HI org or not? How many of them are part of the "public highway going in several directions" How many of them no longer exist? How do you know the FREE CE provided by Nickey's recommended vender's is factual and beneficial to the success of YOUR business?? Do you really believe $99.00 CE approved by Nick [ because the vender gives NACHI free advertizing] is as good as $199.00 CE that is reviewed, endorsed, and presented by veteran professionals in the HI profession? Finally, How does belonging to an HI org. that will sell you out to any inspector that pays the owner of your org an additional 375.00 to be a CMI, with no verificiation of the CMI requirements, help YOU? Last edited by dharris; 6/2/07 at 10:22 PM.. |

If you guys want to play tit for tat with Dan be my guest. But I really think some of you need to get a grip on the theory that ASHI inspectors are lowballers. Perhaps in corn country USA but in my area they are by far the most expensive inspectors there are. How many of you are getting $400 for a newer two bedroom condo?

Dan, good question about how CMI helps.
Why don't you let CMIs answer your question? They have in the thread linked below. They are getting an extra $100 per inspection for doing absolutley ZERO extra work. Here is a thread of CMIs explaining to non-CMIs how they are making so much more money: http://www.nachi.org/forum/f11/certified-master-inspector-16805/ The thing works. My Denver Chapter members are making an extra $20,000.00 to $80,000.00 a year with it, and again, they aren't having to do any extra work for it. It is pennies (actuall big bucks) from heaven, dropping out of the sky and landing on their heads. Come to our Denver Chapter meeting on Tuesday and I'll explain how you too can make lots of extra money without doing any additional inspections. I told you 3 years ago that CMI would work... and it does. But don't take my word for it, fly up on Tuesday and hear it from CMIs themselves. A multi-inspector firm in the same area keeps its inspection rates at the $200 range by paying ASHI candidates $45 per inspection (with three to four bookings per day) to do them. Six-page checklist, no photographs and a reprimand if they are on the site for more than 90 minutes. I guess if you are going to speak house in St. Louis, you gotta talk fast. |

Hey Dan:
I'll buy you a plane ticket up here and I'll give you the $375 one-time fee to become a CMI www.certifiedmasterinspector.org. I'll teach you in 10 minutes how to use your CMI to get you more work and get you higher fees on that work. I promise it will mean AT LEAST $1,000.00 extra a month to you, probably way more. You try it for a while. If I'm wrong, you come on this message board and tell us CMI is a bunch of B.S. and that it doesn't work. But if I'm right, you come on this message board and tell us how many extra jobs you are landing with CMI and how much more money you are making with CMI. Deal? I happen to know that if you take this bet... we are both going to win. Nick Gromicko, CMI Founder World's biggest, best inspection association "Planet InterNACHI... resistance is futile" |

How true! Tit for Tat with our best advertisement is ridicules. I guess I will not go into all of the different items I have used that worked for me and the pouring in of help by the members of this org. when I need it. But really I could care less who Dan's membership is with but I do feel sorry for them that is for sure. On the other hand I may not feel as sorry for them as I thought at first. After looking for a brotherhood to join and doing some serious research NACHI was more attractive by far. Now I see why! With all his venom Nick is still trying to help him, imagine that! Once again you can see why I am a proud member.
