I taught 2 classes at the NACHI annual seminar in Orlando last year.

My 1st NACHI national seminar. I was amazed at how many ASHI guys I saw there, including several OLD line ASHI members (including past officers, committee chairs and past BOD members, etc).

Most were there for education. When I talked to them many had joined NACHI for the bennies or the web site.

Some dropped ASHI - some didn't.

That is exactly why the last thing I would do is PAY [ or accept the title for FREE] to be a CMI, when per Nicks own words the CMI is " a marketing tool to make more money"

Trust me , I have been around long enough...with over 2,000 inspections, and 100s of hours of CE provided by veterns in our profession, to realize, I am far from being an inspector that even comes close to being qualified to market myself to the public as a CMI.

What happened to the CMI that was going to have qualified education and verified requirements by our peers that exceeded any existing HI certifications present, prior to an inspector earning the title CMI???


I'm from the old school of believing the 1st thing any business person needs to do is , never market your self as something you are not.

When did it change that a person does not need to be honest, and provide earned nationally recognized qualifications/ certifications when marketing to our customers

Dan.. From what I know of you, from Alan B, I understand you are very knowledgeable of our profession and would not hesitate to attend one of your seminars..
If all Nickey's approved CE providers had your HI knowelge/ qualifications, and experience, inspectors across the country would be far more qualified to represent our profession, opposed to CE provided by someone that's never done an inspection, [ for the sole reason of $s,] not to mention, some of these CE providers do not have a clue what is truly required of a HI.

No one is disputing your experience or your qualifications. Thats the problem. You think and state anyone who is in Nachi is inferior because of the entrance requirements or lack thereof.

I am as qualified as you are. The fact is your constant beratements are nothing more than your unqualifed opinion in that you have no proof that membership equates with quality or experience!

Plus you are not even a member! At least if you want to ***** about an association why not join and pay for the privelege?

You really show how jealous you are of NACHI you spend much time and effort here .
You show how disappointed you are that you where removed from NACHI .
This seems to bother you a lot and you try and show others how bad NACHI is ,but we can see you are so disappointed just like a Little boy standing looking at the Big people playing ball and enjoying them selves and you can not get invited to the game .
I know many ASHI members and lots of them post here and seldom if ever post at ASHI .
I guess they just like you can see how great NACHI and how it helps all even those who are on the out side looking in.
As we all Know ASHI does not allow others to see inside there association like NACHI does .
So sad, too bad for you, that a big special in your life is comming to see how NACHI is doing.

Ray that is not true at all. If you read the marketing on your own org.
you will see just the opposite,
IE: bashing of other inspectors HI org membership [ NOT "certificiation" ]

is your inspector blind, and other unsubstantiated BS against non-nachi inspectors posted by Nick..

I have stated more than once I personally know, and recognize there are many knowledgeable and experienced nachi inspectors.

I will not deny that I, along with many others in this profession, question the qualifications of nachi inspectors marketed to the public as
NACHI "CERTIFIED" inspectors[ from unlicensed states] that claim superiority when their only qualifications listed are.... a list of non-verified nachi certification requirements.
