Exactly, as long as you are a member of any Assoc. you can qualify.

Now you are saying you don't know what the preferred status means, yet a few post back you said that you get better pricing?? Which was not true.

By the sounds of it ITA started it. Good for NACHI getting on the band wagon, I just wanted to clear up the mis-information from Nick that you had to be a member of NACHI to participate.

That is just not true by the sounds of it.

This new version of the program allows for other training

Bob.. Thanks for clairifing your position, I was running out of Ins venders to get a price quote when my current policy runs out, venders that don't kiss up to nick by offering exclusive discounts to only nachi members that must pay nick 289.00 to quailify for a discount or benefit.

The reason Keith, Bob and I are all catching planes to meet each other this weekend is to work further on this Pay Per Inspection/NACHI deal and a new one which we've been working on which is a 100% EXCLUSIVE to IAC2 members for the first year after roll out.

And although it won't technically be a NACHI exclusive... one cannot join IAC2 (qualify) without joining NACHI (see www.iac2.org)... get it? If not... re-read previous sentence.

The problem is, you make stuff up before anything is done, or you take something that is already out there and then make it sound like you made it happen.

Great marketing, but sooner or later people get tired of empty promises.

IMHO.

HOME INSPECTOR
INSURANCE PRIMER
Q: Why do I need both "Professional Liability" and "General Liability" insurance?
A: "General Liability" provides coverage while you are performing the inspection and at your office. You have two exposures while you are performing the inspection:
(1) Property Damage, such as your ladder falling over and breaking the windshield of the homeowner's auto; and
(2) Bodily Injury, such as your ladder falling over and hitting the homeowners child on the head.
These are the types of exposures for which you purchase insurance.

"Professional Liability" provides coverage for actual or alleged errors & omissions in your Inspection Report. Again, you have two exposures:
(1) Property Damage, for example you may have missed a leaking roof'; and
(2) Bodily Injury, a basement stair riser is several inches different than the rest, you didn't report it, and the buyer's child falls down the steps suffering injury.
As you can see, Bodily Injury exposure is the one with the greatest potential for large claim settlements.
Q: Are separate limits for "Professional Liability" and "General Liability" important?
A: YES! Very Important! When you have one limit for both types of insurance, you expose yourself to using up your policy aggregate. If you have a large Professional Liability settlement you may have no insurance for a serious General Liability claim.

I can personally report on Allen Insurance Occurance Coverage, it's awsome! If you guys have any questions contact Kenny or Bob Pearson directly. They'll fill you in on all the details. I'm in my 9th year with Allen Insurance. I've had one claim and they assigned me an attorney from Beverly Hills who took care of everything. The attorney even got the plaintiff to waive my $250 deductable.

Yes, I pay a little more for my occurance coverage, but it's top of the line insurance and their customer service has been perfect!

The meeting in Las Vegas with Nick and Bob Pearson went well; a lot of good faith bargaining, advances and retreats, and concessions, but Nick left with something good for NACHI. Exactly what that will be will be announced by Bob/Nick shortly. Following that, and without any hype or hoopla, I'll tell you why I worked for it and why I will endorse it. What I took away from the Las Vegas trip was a lot of second-hand smoke and the smell of stale perfume.

Well, at least you didn't post the picture of me twisting Bob's arm .

We should have a pretty nice NACHI EXCLUSIVE from Allen Insurance to announce soon.

Thanks for your help this weekend Keith!

I didn't want to reveal your negotiating skills, or I would have posted the last picture, in which I had Bob in a headlock while you were hitting him. (What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas).

As I see it, a pay-as-you go system is great if you don't have to spend time or money to join or be affiliated with some sort of training program. After you join another program you might as well just by straight E&O coverage.

Jason1... yes "coming soon" is one of my favorites right up there with "done": www.nachi.org/whats_new.htm Warning... don't click that link of stuff NACHI has recently accomplished unless you are prepared to scroll.
