Earl, I do 80% new construction "phase" inspections and 20% resale-other inspections. I would not recommend doing these inspections unless you are well versed in construction principles and practices, as well as codes. Best conditions, you should be code certified for building,plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, or combo certified for residential construction. This will give you credibility with your clients as well as the builders.
