Important Recall Information!

All major manufacturers may be affected, including but not limited to: Allied, Burnham, Crown, Hydro Therm, Laars, Lochinvar, RBI, Smith, New Yorker, Peerless, Raypak, Union Steam, Weil-McLain, and Williamson-Term.

Effikal has implemented a free replacement program for affected vent dampers sold as original equipment on gas boilers installed since July 2007. A comprehensive replacement program is in place covering the cost of the product and installation.

We urge you to inspect your customers' gas boilers, particularly any that have been installed since July 2007. If the damper has a black plastic cap and base and the serial code matches the list on our website, replace the vent damper motor assembly immediately with a new Effikal vent damper assembly (part #70009000) available from your local wholesale distributor. Keep several on your truck for added convenience. You will be paid $125 ($100 for labor plus $25 reimbursement for the part) directly from Effikal.
