Default Recommend Gas Detector

Does anyone have a recommendation for a combustible gas leak detector? I presently have a Pocket Air Check but I have no confidence in it. I have come across obvious natural gas leaks by odor and this unit failed to register the leak on more than one occassion.

I own a Fluke CO detector that I am comfortable with so I don't want to spend the extra money for a combination tester. I would appreciate your suggestions and recommendations.

Thanks.

I have a TIF 8800 but it seldom comes out of the bag.
I usually use it only after my nose detects something or I see something suspicious. They are very sensitive.

I use the TPI Combo Carbon Monoxide and Combustible Gas Leak Detector.

I use to have a TIFF 8800 & a Bacharach Snifit 50 but sold them both for the TPI combo unit.
TIFF 8800 works very well.

I have both the TIFF 8800 and the TPI 775 (Gas and CO). I prefer the TPI 775 but if you're looking for just gas detection than the TIFF 8800 is the way to go. The TPI unit was around $375 or so and the TIFF is somewhere around $200.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm going with the TIF 8800A based on what you guys are saying. I think I found a great deal at The Test Equipment Depot, $169.95 with Free Shipping.
