With regard to the lunatics (myself included) on this message board...

If, and it's a big IF, we all would worry about defending ourselves, instead of our buddies, and If we thought about whether we would say some of these things in person, or on the phone to the person we're posting about, perhaps this would be a more polite bb.

I know people on this board who are spiteful posters, nasty, belligerent, crabby and tasteless. Then I pick up the phone and speak personally to them, or meet them at a NACHI function and voila, they are polite and pleasant, and genuinely enjoyable to speak with. Part of the difference is that the voice inflection and meaning that can be deciphered in a personal meeting can be lost in the post, and the smiley faces don't help all that much.

Instead of posting blindly, try to post as if you are speaking to the person right in front of you, and remember, some of your potential customers may be watching your words.

What the heck, it's worth a try? Right?

Oh, and whomever is leaving me red boxes for my posts, be a man (or woman) and sign them.

Very true.

Much of what is written here would be more suitable for a "chat room" than a permanent message board, for its significance/relevance is usually momentary, at best.

Nick is innocent of the mab comment. That was the brainchild of myself and Mr. Wiley. It failed miserably, and I apologize for putting you and others in such an awkward position.

Okay John, Thanks. I think the reason it failed wasn't your fault, but falls on nick. Nick did everything he could to show disdain for the elected mab. No support from the top means failure. Not your fault.

You're a smart guy. Tell me, in your opinion, why Nick would intentionally act in any manner that would be detrimental to the association. How would he benefit by anything that is bad for NACHI or the membership?

Jim, 1st, if I was smart I would never comment on the BB, so I consider myself a dumb azz.

Keeping in context of the mab. Nick was never behind it, ignored it, bashed it, and gave no credabilty to the elected mab. Now, that being said, I don't think nick would ever do anything intentional to hurt his association, but at the same time I think he felt threatened that the membership actually may get a voice and that scared the crap out of him.

If we could ever meet and sit back and talk about things it would be so much easier to express my point of view, as could you.

This is way more fun to review than many, many boards I have been involved with, however, may I remind one and all, we are trying to raise the level of professionalism in our industry, we should all exemplify professionalism, and be tolerant of opposing views. I feel our industry has been around long enough that some areas are already becoming stagnant, this is why new ideas and members are critical. Please, please, please, be mindful of our profession as a whole, and behave accordingly.
