Default Roofing company rip-off in 10 states

http://www.kmbc.com/news/24842488/detail.html

Many of these people had insurance money from roofing damages, and gave the checks to the roofing company. The company has not performed the roofing jobs.

Sad for most of these people, who have lost thousands, and now have leaking roofs. These repair persons are not required to be licensed, have insurance, or even just be registered in the state of Kansas. But us inspectors are. Lawmakers have it backwards. I guess that is their nature of thinking. I have heard that over 90 families are affected.
