Default Schumer to introduce bill giving visas to foreign buyers of U.S. homes

I've heard of worse ideas.

Schumer to introduce bill giving visas to foreign buyers of U.S. homes

Senator Chuck Schumer is one of two senators introducing a bipartisan bill aimed at improving the housing market by offering an incentive to foreign buyers, the Wall Street Journal report. He and Sen. Mike Lee of Utah want to offer residence visas to any foreigner that spends at least $500,000 on residential real estate in the United States. The measure compliments existing rules that offer visas to foreign investors that create jobs in America.

"This is a way to create more demand without costing the federal government a nickel," Schumer said.

Default Re: Schumer to introduce bill giving visas to foreign buyers of U.S. homes

I've read some articles about this allow me to share it here please. Foreign immigrants who invest a minimum of $500,000 on an American home should get residence visas, say Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah). In order to attract additional foreign investment in the U.S. economy, Schumer and Lee will soon present associated legislation before Congress. Article source: Proposed housing bill would grant immigrants residence visas . For some Americans this news doesn't sound like a good idea and they think that the visa for home purchase bill is a clear act of treason. Well, different people have different views about this issue, let's see if the the idea of this senators would push through.
