25-30%. Better be a high volume inspector.
Let's see 10 inspections a week at $300 and you get 25%. Its been a while since I've done math but that works out to about $750. Broken down per hour is 1 hr travel aver, 3 hr inspection aver, and 2 hr report = 60 hours aver 750/60=12.50 an hour. I would have to be pretty dog gone slow to take that hourly pay. Why not go wait tables and make more than that? What? no moonlighting..good luck trying to build the business.

Pete Cook and I don't much get along but I find him to be very honest, and so I believe him when he assured me that he and U.S. Inspect are getting out of residential inspections.

That would fall in line with what their parent company, Comercial Assessments does, http://www.commercialassessments.com/.

Sounds like you are selling yourself short. If you want to buy into a franchise there are others out there. How are you doing on passing the online exam?

More like being driven out due to the incompetence and the lack of skills their inspector's posses.

Sounds like another do-nothing franchise that prostitutes inspectors out to the real estate agents.

I did apx 80 insp last year for them. I was contacted by them right after Phizer announced thet were shuting down there Ann Arbor operation. They needed back up inspectors to handle the additional inspection requests for the area. All I did was relo insp. You use there forms, the info you provide is checked by there in house reviewers, it is done online, you get a check monthly, they want you to carry GL Insurance, they cover EO, they drop you like a dime when the need is not there. They payed $150 per inspection, if it was over mileage they paid more, plus other add on fees. I was VERY good work. Hope this helps, write if you want more info
