Default Unadvertised pool?

I have just recently begun HI in Northwest FL, did construction most of my other life and had a couple of "fix it" businesss along the way but I never saw anything like this and thought I would share. Granted it was raining that day but I still thought it incredible that someone would build a home in this manner. The photo with the ladder in it indicates a "moat" that catches most all of the water flowing down the drive and off the flat roof. Another pic is of one of the crawlspace vents or funnels and then there is the crawl space or the "pool". The moat and vents effectively move all that water directly under the home, where it sits. If it hadn't been for the aligator and the 240 wires lying in the water I would have had a closer look because I am sure there were more interesting things to see. The water against the wall was almost two feet deep. The "hot seat" is just for fun, I try not to think about that one to much.

Why would anyone (in thier right mind) purchase a house that sits atop standing water? Major moisture issues in this house.....Mold, rot, stench, etc.

Richard, where did you get a canoe small enough to get in there? ha ha

I am still trying to figure out why any one would want a receptacle behind the toilet. Man no GFCI, no cover, I hope his aim was perfect and never miss. ha. ha.

Hi Richard,
You are over near Lake Seminole. Nice area. Welcome. You are likely to see more of the same kinds of homes. We have a lot of those kinds of homes here as well in the Panhandle.
