Just wondering how many report no weep holes in their reports. I report it and would say about 50% do not have them here .

I absolutely report missing or no weep holes in brick veneer walls, despite the fact that there really is no post construction method to correct the oversight. The clients should be made aware of the potential moisture issues that may occur.

Probably only an issue up north.
Almost impossible to install them correctly, since a lot mortar falls down there where no one can see. The ones over windows are good for letting water get into the lintel area for sure. Drilling holes as a fix is a waste of time. B.A. King Home Inspections, LLC www.BAKingHomeInspections.com Serving Charlotte NC area and Rock Hill SC areas.
