Sorry, Nick. I have been working on this licensing thing and missed the NIFAST video until this afternoon. I have e-mailed them to take the course. Are there any scholarships left? They are supposed to call me tomorrow. Sounds like a good program. Perhaps one like it on safety. With issues nationwide on college campuses, may be another business opportunity. Insurance companies may have their ears listening.

Yes, they are accepting newer inspectors. Most who have applied should get a full scholarship.

They asked me for advice on how to weed out the scholarship awards. They wanted serious inspectors. I told them that the only advice that I could give was to choose applicants who had dedicated inspection websites... and to check each website to make sure it wasn't displaying any known diploma mill logos.

I'm meeting with them on Wednesday and I'll report back here as to the success of this program. If our members start getting off-campus housing inspections and start making money with it, I'll negotiate us a deal to get us all trained and in.

I'd like to hear from those who have begun the free training first. I'm asking that the first round of students report back here on this message board.

Do not feel too bad, I did not get one either. We must be too much in the middle of the state. Probably an inspector near St. Louis got the other scholarship such as Terry. I do not understand how just two inspectors are going to cover the whole state anyway, they are going to do a lot of windshield time. Oh well, I guess I am back to to expanding my mold and commercial inspections. Whenever you get to Jefferson City give me a call, I will try to send some inspections your way. I just want the mold work at the Lake, the houses are too big of a POS for me to want to inspect many of them. The Lake (your) area has to have the worst construction in Missouri. Sad but true.
