Coming soon will be another Insurance Agency that will be offering l Million dollar E&O policy's for NACHI members only. Rates will be predicated by your NACHI membership. i.e. Working member, full member, and yes even a deeper discount for CMI status.

For example only: (I don't know the exact rates yet).

Working Member - $1,700.00 per year
Full Member - $1,500.00 per year.
Full Member carrying CMI designation - $1,200.00 per year.

Just guessimates on the rates folks. I'll provide further information shortly.

Get your annual exams up to date and your CE Logs.

This one looks good for Canadians also. Unfortunately it is not firm yet.

I talked to your man that is setting up the E&O insurance for us.
He seemed like a nice man.

He said they want to set up some guide lines to make sure that
only experienced and thorough inspectors get the very low rates.
I appreciate that and agree fully.

But he said they might want to see inspectors using palm pilots
of some kind to do their data entry at the inspections. I told
him I did not agree with that as a viable condition for qualifying
for the insurance. I do not think using a palm pilot makes
someone a good inspector. IMHO.

If it's the same two brokers that I spoke to on a river boat with John Bowman, I will attest for their integrity. I spoke to one of them again at the ITA conference and continued to make the same pitch. I also spoke to a third broker at the ITA conference, and it's definitely coming. When Nick, NACHI and John Bowman speaks, the business world stops to listen. ( I'm not trying to steal John's thunder; I just happened to be working on a "third" broker while he was working on the first two. I salute you, John.
