$1000 E&O Is Here

$1000 E&O for inspectors is here.
(Do your homework and don’t call me if your not happy).

Here is one example of what I just purchased.

$1000 for … $100,000/$300,000 E&O
$100 for … bd/pd liability
$200 for extra 3 year protection extension beyond 1 yr.
$50 for tax

$1350 Total per year

Covers me and ALL inspectors in my company.
Covers most ancillary services
Financing available

The carrier is James River (highly rated).
They have lawyers who dispute claims, before they
pay every bogus one that comes by.

You must have been in business for 3 year, and a ton of
other qualifications. They turn down many, so do not
get your feelings hurt.

They gave me my approval letter for TREC (for you guys
in Texas who may be wondering).

I hope the Canadians will get a break on their E&O cost as well.

Wouldn’t you know it I am always excluded!! Boo Hoo

Well, well, well… another player enters the E&O market. Good luck with offering free retro and same price to multi-inspectors. Doesn’t look like James River is the underwriter on this. Looks to me like another possible Lloyd’s of London distributor.

Ben,

If the offer is legit, what’s the big deal?

That’s what remains to be seen… if it’s legit. Time will tell.

I have been sending this e-mail out to as many Texas inspectors that I can that I think will meet the qualifications for the IPC offer. I’m very encouraged by it and hopefully others will follow suit with even more aggressively priced plans.

Thanks Michael.

Ben, what do you mean by free retro?

Most likely the three year extension for $200. It is amazing how they can charge so little for a three year extension after you quit.

Hey Ben;

It’s a newer business, formed in 2003. They actually bought out another troubled insurance carrier, but were excluded from the lawsuit liability of the carrier. They changed the name to “James River” and off they go.

For my current level of coverage here in California, they come in at about $2800 per year. Thats about $700 per year less than my Allen Insurance policy and I think is pretty comparable with what you offer at FREA. I’m renewing with Allen again this year. I like the occurance type policy and overall their premium policy just seems to be a better product.

I also like my two page Allen application compared to the eight page James River app.

He means, providing coverage on prior inspections you performed while not insured with James River. Retro as in retroactive…

I do not see where they cover previous inspections. Where did that come from?

In red above John

Wow… I just got my policy.
It’s better than what I thought…

No guts, no glory… I’m glad I made the move.

Any Canadian links for E&O insurance agents

Ehsan, you can contact Kim Smith at HUB International 905-847-5500, FREA also insures in Canada as well I believe a company called Thibideau insurance.
