I have done some last year for 60 dollars a inspection within about 20 miles of my home. But this year they wanted 35 dollars and it is not worth it.

Granite for me is $50 for my home county and $60 just outside of my county. All have been very close except one.

As of now I am only doing half of that a week now b/c of the current economy. But I have a feeling this year is going to be better than most people think.

Just got a call from ISGN Insp Services in phoenix Arizona.
They want to pay only $35.00 per insp which seems rock bottom to me. Has anyone here delt with them? Would like your opinion's? |

Yea I got a call yesterday to cover all of St. Louis county. They wanted no less than 1 mill in E&O. I told them good luck finding that guy especially with the fee they wanted to pay.

Draw inspections in this area are not worth the time or the money
No draws to inspect - no new construction If one comes along let someone else have it I will even help them out by saying "My min charge is $125.00" Just like my 4 point inspections I look at it this way --- I can afford to give the inspection to someone else if I can force the total market in my area up - not that many inspectors in this area are left It will not take long for the word to get around that $125.00 per hr is the low end. What do you think about giving up some work to bring up the rope a little? Remember a orange picker in our area makes $1000.00 a week in cash and his expences are very low Bad times are here and in many areas they are getting worse Frostproof is cold - and our fire department got rated down on the insurance scale so our fire insurance will be going up Time to drop my insurance on my 50 plus year home which is payed off - thank you stock markent when it was hi rlb |

RE DDN
One of the sorriest emails I've ever gotten: To all Inspectors/Builders: Due to the continuing decline of the construction markets, government intervention in the foreclosure process, and frivolous lawsuits filed against the company, DDN Services has ceased operations effective today. We no longer have any staff to accept your calls. We have been operating using a line of credit since April and that line of credit has now been exhausted and we have no further funds on which to operate. The December 15th and December 30th inspector payables cannot be released or mailed for this reason. We regret this occurring, but have made every effort to develop new business for the last 2 years and have exhausted our financial resources. We do not anticipate being able to make further payments to inspectors. We will send an email update on January 5th to provide a status update. Doug Stuart |

To all Inspectors/Builders:
Due to the continuing decline of the construction markets, government intervention in the foreclosure process, and frivolous lawsuits filed against the company, DDN Services has ceased operations effective today. "Lawsuits filed against the company". What do you expect when you do a so-called "inspection" that takes 15 to 20 minutes? How can any owner of an inspection company who is in his right mind expect to conduct a "complete and thorough inspection" in 15 to 20 minutes? There is an old saying "When you plant an Apple Seed you grow an Apple Tree"! Even a blind man could have seen the lawsuits coming! We no longer have any staff to accept your calls. We have been operating using a line of credit since April and that line of credit has now been exhausted and we have no further funds on which to operate. This dirty dog new that he was bankrupt and he should have stopped sending out "inspection requests" a long time ago! The December 15th and December 30th inspector payables cannot be released or mailed for this reason. What a bum! Last October or November, he knew he would not be able to pay his inspectors! He should have stopped sending out inspectors to conduct business on his behalf! We regret this occurring, but have made every effort to develop new business for the last 2 years and have exhausted our financial resources. We do not anticipate being able to make further payments to inspectors. Once again, sometime in October or November he should have stopped sending inspectors out "to work for free"! We will send an email update on January 5th to provide a status update. Doug Stuart

Never could figure this company out. Promised me for 2-3 years that I would get work and never got a single call. Linas covering the entire Midwest didn't help much I'm sure.
