Who said Iraq was "responsible" for it?
Just link the two over and over and over. People will get the right idea.

our intelligence discovered that Iraq was providing terrorists with a safe-haven and passage. Those documents are available online.
Links please, since I can find no mention of this magical smoking gun anywhere.

By the way, everyone who still wonders if Saddam had anything to do with Al Qaeda should look at this. Lots of photos and easy to follow:
The Sept. 11 commission reported yesterday that it has found no "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and al Qaeda, challenging one of the Bush administration's main justifications for the war in Iraq.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Jun16.html

Lets see. Sept. 11th commission or a simplistic right-wing website. Gee, whichever will I believe?

I can produce links that show 9/11 was conducted by the US government, by GW's brother Marvin Bush, by Israeli commandoes and by people trying to stop the Enron investigation. That leads me to believe you can pull things off the web to support any theory you care to espouse. I prefer to stick to sources that actually check facts.

Let's get this back on topic.
Apparently wildly exaggerated claims along with compelling graphics is how one sells magazines. Nevermind that the story and faux photo of NYC drowning has anything to do with even the vaunted IPCC report on sea level rise projections. Do you suppose someone is manipulating the public?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a graphic that will make you stand up and take notice–especially if you have relatives who live in New York City. This image appeared in Vanity Fair magazine in May 2006 and shows how much of New York City would be under water if all of the ice on Greenland and the Antarctic were to melt causing sea levels to rise 80 feet. 80 feet! Where did they get that number? What a scare tactic. Not even Al Gore uses a number that high. Certainly the IPCC doesn’t. Story Link

Ok, I'll just ask my brother; a Major in the Air Force Space Command Satellite Intelligence Division. Perhaps even my mother; a twenty-year veteran of the defense industry; or my other brother, an Air Force Special Operations Air Lift officer; or maybe my father, a 22-year veteran of the Air Force and weapons engineer for Boeing Missile Systems Division (formerly Rockwell)....

or maybe I can just look in the mirror as a Army Ranger who fought in Iraq during Desert Shield and Storm then fought in other little "terrorist-related" skirmishes with 1/7th Infantry Division, 3rd ID as a field logistics coordinator (intelligence-related) working for a Colonel.

Not sure there's enough people in my immediate family who would know anything about the "facts" as none of us are on any "commissions". Our work (combat-related and field logistics/intel) simply gets reported to people who report to "commissions" (and I think some people would call that "first-hand" experience). I suppose if none of us did what we did, the "commission" wouldn't have anything to report. Hmmf.

Don't confuse politics with reality. You'll have a hard time debating me on terrorist-related warfare. (See, I'm not just a "vendor" after all. )

(Take this lightly, Jeff. This is just a good 'ol debate we're having. Topics like this have a tendancy to get out of hand fast as it can become an emotional issue.)

And if they are revealing classified information to you to post on a HI bulletin board, then they need to stop and think.

Perhaps I'll ask my Step-Father, a retired Vietnam vet, or my Mother a 30 year employee of the Veterans Administration or my best friend, a recently retired senior chief with more than a few years in the Gulf or perhaps I'll just look in the mirror and see a former US Navy Crypto Tech with a Top Secret clearance.

See, We both have similar backgrounds. But I don't know a thing more than my neighbor.

I asked for your sources for this freely available information. I've searched and can't find these links. Please provide them so I can review the data myself.

No worries. As long as the debate stays on topic and doesn't delve into personal attacks, you and I will have no issues.

Awww...that's no fun! After all, this IS the NACHI bulletin board where we're famous for stuff like that.

And, no my folks and brother don't reveal anything to anyone that doesn't have TSC, and I certainly didn't post anything to the contrary on this BB. Don't forget the part about where I was working an intel-related job in the field. Battle logistics management for an infantry division is hard to do without good intel. And my Major brother is a satellite guy....ever see "Clear and Present Danger"? Neat stuff.

Don't know him.

I worked on a NATO base in southern Italy and we didn't have too many Army types in our 99.99% Navy Command. (We DID have one lonely Coast Guard Petty Officer however! And lots of Marines guarding the doors! )
