could be a 47-53. They did not change the body style much at all those years. In 54 they changed that grill but it stayed almost identical for several years. Google it and there are many sites with photos. If it has been stored inside all those years it is probably in good condition body wise. Remember, back then cars were made of metal.
I dont' know jack about horses except they are big and they bite so we're even.

I was going to suggest about '46 to '48---but I'm not going to now...

Come on now, Jae you remember that.

That is when you would get up to help your Father in the garage or basement before school.

That is when you had to go fill the kerosene 3 gallon glog, glog, container for your mother's stove.

That is when you had to pick up the eggs before school.

That is when you had to do all those other chores for your Father before school.

That is when you had to walk to school, thank God I didn't it was 13 miles.

That is when you went to school and work till nine o'clock to help with the chores.

That is when we had to stock up the basement with firewood.

That is when we worked for the next door neighbor after school to earn money to buy pencils.

You know what Jae;

By the time all these things were done I was eighteen years old.

Wow, I guess I was not a teenager also. ha. ha.

Never knew my father--no garage--no basement.

No, I chopped wood for the old Majestic wood cooking stove.

We didn't keep chickens--my uncle did.

Only 9 miles, but it really was "uphill both ways"...

That's so true.

That is when we had to stock up the basement with firewood.

No basement--kept the wood outside near the back porch.

Self-employed in the towns' yards since I was about 9 or 10.

Problem with living in small farming town--these chores were never finished...

But I wouldn't trade my youth for the world--it beats the heck out of the way kids are growing up today.

Hi Charley,

that truck has door window vents so must be 1951 model, if the door handles are push-button type then it is a 1952 or 1953, the 1954 model year went to a one piece windscreen and a different grille style.

Too funny, I wasn't even born back then, I am just enough of an old car nut to have gone and researched the answer

I didn't think you were after meeting you in Portland, Maine, but your hair told me that you might of been around in those times. ha. ha. After the Course you instructed on Manufactured Housing, which was great and excellent.

I was going to guess 1949, but I'm glad someone starting talking about cars, so I can show off my 55.
