Default Re: Approaching 1st Anniversary of Daily Door Prize. What can we give or do special?

Nick

You posted a very good subject and you got a lot of "non substance"

Here is what I think would be a good thing for the 1st Anniversary of the Daily

Door Prize --- Thank the vendors that have supported the program. Yes, we know that their objective is marketing but we also know that they could put their $$ some where else --- So thank them for all of us

Next

Put a big email that the next prize will not be announced by the BB but by email and that you will announce it by email at a certain time

This will bring 10,000 members to the table at once -- sort of like a genius book of records

BTW -- announce what the door Prize is before you send the trigger email

If I have not made the program clear -- give me a call

Just make it big -- it is called marketing

Look around the message board dumb *****, tell me just what thread anyone could post in and still avoid Windy. and her expertise. YOu're very welcome to your opinion, and after Windy's comments and lies over the past week or so there appears to be openings in her White Knight squad, it seems you are applying for that position, she needs you, that's why she posts here, for the attention.

How many more Inspections do you have to perform before you can become a True Professional and Join ASHI, you as one of Windy's supposrters must beilieve what she says about you is true. If you like the contiued smell of crap, just keep reading Windy's Posts.

Some of the latest, HARD BOUND Copies of her "future" NACHI Cookbook???? Being a NACHI Cookbook it would have a target market of 10,000. even if every NACHI Member purchased a copy that would not justify the expense of Hard Bound publication, ask Keith Swift, but no worry, Windy's book and her offer of providing 10 HARDBOUND Copies is just another of her fantasies.

She was once going to write a book on Home Inspection, without ever having performed one.

Never wrestle with a pig (however titled) as you just get dirty and the pig has all the fun.

The problem I see with the Email idea is:
  • that sometimes it takes NACHI Emails more then 24 hours to reach me. I have been on the other line with National when they sent me an Email and after 5 min. they send a second. I get that one right away... I never get the first Email.
  • That I am on dial-up. If I have received an Email that is 1meg at around the same time I receive the NACHI Email, I could be waiting up to 15 min. or more before I know that NACHI sent me an Email.
Other problems I have seen in the past that make it hard to be a part of the Daily Door Prize program is:
  • Time Zones - For the longest time the Daily Door Prizes were being posted around 1:00 am here in Michigan. We need to sleep sometime. Then during the day we need to be doing inspections.
I do have to say I did like how the Supper Bowl Pool worked! If we have a large prize or several prizes for many winners how about:
  1. Two days (or more) of posting to be eligible for the drawing.
  2. Then create something like a Football Pool Grid Sheet (Squares) and place our names on it.
    • Use deck(s) of cards to identify the rows & columns.
    • Re-shuffle the decks and then draw cards...
    • You Now Have The Winners.
  3. The Sheet with Squares could be posted for all to see and National could post a Thread posting each card as they draw them. That could be exciting....
  4. The prizes could even be drawn at random the same way. You just had cards drawn showing you are a winner but, now you have to see what you have won from another card filled with prizes!
Does that sound like it could be fun and exciting!?!
  • 4 decks of cards (2 for each card). 52 cards X 52 cards = 2,704 squares. I know we have more members then that but, how many members regularly read the BB? The card could be made smaller be removing cards or a suit of cards, etc.
Just an Idea to make everything fun & to extend the prize giving time!

The card with all the prizes could be posted several days before the card for all the contestants......

The drawing for the winners & prizes could be on another day. It would not matter what your internet speed, typing speed or what time you are able to be on-line is. Fair for all who read and/or post on the BB!

Just an Idea, what do you all think?
