You said "I believe YOU reap what YOU sow."

It's a common mistake in grammar, however it does lead to confusion. If you wanted to make reference to someone in general without referring about ME directly, the more correct way to do so would be something like:

"I believe those who sow will reap their harvest someday"

Or some other thing...

That may be silly, but it removes the reference to "you" that indicates you are referring to the person to whom you are responding.
