Greetings Chesapeake Chapter of InterNACHI Members and Friends!
We invite you to attend the November 2013 meeting of the Chesapeake Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Our always fun and informative meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:00 PM and will convene in the Captain’s Room of:

At 6:00 we will call the meeting to order. After introductions and agenda items the floor will be open to the attendees for discussions. Attendees may order food and/or beverages as desired throughout the meeting at their own expense from our assigned wait staff (not required). The meeting will adjourn at about 9:00 PM.

Initial and Continuing Education Update
We received notice from Ben Gromicko recently reminding us that InterNACHI has received approval, class space and an instructor for their 72-hour initial home inspector training course. Go to http://www.nachi.org/maryland.htm for more details.
Maryland also requires home inspectors to take approved Continuing Professional Competency Education courses. The Maryland Commission of Real Estate Appraisers and Home Inspectors has approved InterNACHI as a Continuing Professional Competency provider for Home Inspectors. InterNACHI has submitted over 40 hours of online continuing education courses that are currently pending approval by the commission. Finally, please see the attached notice and application for InterNACHI members to attend the 3rd Annual 2014 Maryland Association of Home Inspectors (MAHI) Education Conference to be held on Saturday, January 19th from 8:00am to 6:30pm at the Maritime Institute Conference and Education Center in Linthicum Heights (near BWI Airport). Attendance at this conference is worth 8.0 CEU’s approved by both Maryland and InterNACHI. Cost is $125 for MAHI members and $150 for guests, though if you register before December 15th you will receive a $20 discount.
