The CMI program was basterized well before Michael was named President. It was basterized when schools/training were developed and approved for CMI training. Of particular interest were those that hadn't even provided basic training to home inspectors and in fact had not trained anyone on anything. That in my eyes was disgraceful to the CMI Program and basterized it. Michael was handed a wounded duck that was already basterized from the get go.

So yes, I do support Michael and his efforts and sincerely hope that he brings prestige and solidarity to the designation.
You're the one not worth the time...nor worthy of your position, albeit an honorary title with no authority behind it to begin with.

Still, to those who are unaware of the impotency of your office, your support of Rowan's demotion of CMI to second-class status to his own MBI designation might hold some weight.

I do thank you for finally having the balls to acknowledge your support for it. With your track record, which I hope maintains itself, it should doom this program for sure.

For the record.

Yes, I did. No one was there. In fact I'm there now and no one else is. For the record of course.

Thanks for this post, John.

You illustrated my point, perfectly. Those of us who engaged in the chat know what this means.

Actually I should also make this statement....it is hard to resign from something I never really felt apart of anyway so it becomes a MOOT issue I believe. I never once attended a meeting, I never once made a vote on anything and I never once had a REAL discussion about the CMI program with anyone in a position to really make a difference regarding it.

I resign from a position Mr. Gromicko asked me to take part in, I supported the CMI program and got blasted for it and really thought it would make a difference for the inspection industry...not as a FOR PROFIT venture it is seeming to become.
Paul, you can leave with your head held high, by Nick picking you shows the value of having your name on the board, I get the feeling you are the type who excels at everything you put your hand too. u da man SPARKY!

I am sure you understand why nothing can be posted here as the NAY SAYERS just love to have a field day .
They seem to just go around the NACHI BB to find things to complain about .
The CMI is the choice of the time.

Your Canadian Buddy . Roy
Roy, I hope you are not including me when you speak of naysayers, i think the cmi designation could be great if handled properly, my comments are based on what a lot of the cmi guys are saying, however I have no opinions on Michael Rowan the person, because I do not know him.

Paul,

Thanks for at least trying to be there, even though no one seemed to be interested...

Ken,

I also believe in the CMI program, and believe it will soon be moving again.

John B,

CMI didnt become bastardized until someone started creating it their personal image. Remember, it was not the CMI Board who wanted to charge for CMI, nor did we want it turned into an association. We didnt blast a load of crap on this message board, having the gall to basically tell people that the program would be changed en masse. We werent the ones who attempted to hide our efforts, making plans, or hiding our activities. And, none of us worked to create a competing program to CMI, while simultaneously holding the CMI reigns.

Now, it seems, as if Mike is launching a competing product, and "allowing" CMIs to become a part of it. Gee, if we dont qualify as an MBI (his owned-designation), we can still get in with CMI credentials. If this is what you were referring to (with great fanfare), as due dilligence, planning, and the like, performed by a smart businessman, I wont argue with you. You are absolutely right. Unfortunately, you have pointed this out and exposed it as a program which springboarded out of CMI. It is a competing product, with a marketing package awfully close to one of NACHI's current projects.

It sucks no matter how youslice it. Thanks for the support...
